Codex a great place to work in 2018!
We are thrilled once again, to be a great place to work in Ireland. The award is determined upon the merits of the result of an employee survey and an assessment of a company’s policies and practices.
This year we have jumped up 4 places from being the 18th last year to the 14th best workplace in the country! The Great Place to Work Best Workplaces in Ireland 2018 was held in the Clayton Hotel on the Burlington road. The ceremony was a glamorous affair which hosted over 800 attendees and featured a talk by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. The mood was a positive one buoyed by a host of happy teams celebrating together.
A great place to work
Away from the glitz and the glam of events and awards, the right to be honoured at them as a great place to work is earned in the workplace. Codex prides itself on being a safe productive environment and we also believe that work can also have its fun moments.
To celebrate the success of being a great place to work, all the Codex staff were treated to breakfast and lunch. Our drivers were thrilled to have profited a full Irish breakfast in our Codex café at dawn provided by taste catering, a hearty reward for being the company’s early risers!
Lunchtime saw the arrival of a fully equipped cookout kitchen on 4 wheels from the street food specialists of adventure catering. Gourmet beef & chicken burgers and cod & chips kept the staff fuelled for the rest of the day. Events like these are a great way to show appreciation to your staff for all their hard work. It was a great chance for everyone to sit and eat together.
Investing in our staff
Our staff are a vital part of what makes us who we are, and we believe that if you want a great company you need great staff. A comfortable and safe environment is an absolute must if you want to have a productive happy workforce. Investing in the training and education of our workers is one of the keys to our success, this shows in our staff’s excellent relationship with our customers. At Codex we live by the adage; if you look after your people, they’ll look after your customers.
